BLOOD BANK
The objective of this program:
Establishment of Blood Bank with support from Global Grant,
Collaboration and establish a successful liaison with Government Department.
Blood banking includes typing the blood for transfusion and testing for infectious diseases
The direct beneficiaries will be Below Poverty Line patients and service is free of cost

Project Overview
The Global Grant is planned to provide Blood bank equipment in Howrah the twin city of Kolkata West Bengal, India. The blood bank plays an important role in patient care. Transfusion-related errors have serious consequence for patients, including death. Proper identification of the patient and blood products is critical in avoiding such transfusion-related reactions. The Thalassemia patients also need Blood in regular interval. Especially after the pandemic the scarcity of blood has increased and the patients suffering a lot.
The revenue District namely Howrah is suffering a lot because they don’t have any blood bank. It will help the population of Urban and rural areas of Kolkata and Howrah. More than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day. A total of 30 million blood components are transfused each year.
The population of West Bengal state in Eastern India Blood isn't merely needed in case of injuries or accidents but also for plasma or platelets required by a patient. In such cases, if adequate amount of blood is readily available in a blood bank, patients can be smoothly treated.
Sustainability
This project aims at delivering blood through its bank and transfusion. These patients belong to deprived class of our population who are found below the poverty line (BPL). Globally, it has been observed that the occurrence of kidney problems death ration is high. The Government felts the need of this kind of center and had appeal to us. They are ready to maintain of this dialysis center. The treatment will be free of cost and all operations will be borne by this Government body
